At Angel City Flyers, we believe in providing the best instruction in the best available equipment. This is why we invested in a Level 5 approved flight training device. A flight training device of this fidelity is usually only available in training organisations dealing directly with corporate flight departments or airlines.
Our ’sim’ allows us to train to a higher level in less time and expense. It also allows us to introduce scenarios with a level of safety and realism unavailable in the aircraft. We, among many others, believe to effectively teach the current glass cockpit technology requires a simulator or similar device, without which, much time and expense can be wasted.
The ’sim’ may be used for the following time towards the following certificates.
20 hours towards the instrument rating
50 hours towards the commercial certificate
2.5 hours towards the private certificate
25 hours towards the ATP
The ’sim’ may also be used to meet the complete currency requirements for the Instrument Rating and for the majority of an Instrument proficiency check and instrument rating checkride
