Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP)

The ATP certificate is a necessary requirement to fly as PIC in certain transport category operations.   Furthermore, attainment of the ATP demonstrates that you have demonstrated a level of flying accuracy and skill commensurate with an experienced professional pilot.

At Angel City Flyers, your training for the ATP rating is conducted in a state of the art Diamond DA42 Twin Star.

Our experienced instructors will guide you through understanding the aircraft systems and developing your piloting skills to a level beyond that necessary for the ATP practical test standards.

Our FAA approved level 5 Flight Training Device allows you to benefit from the type of training equipment normally reserved for airline and corporate pilots.   This allows us to train more effectively and efficiently to a greater level.

The ATP check ride is a similar format to that of a type rating. Through its revolutionary technology, the Diamond DA42 Twin Star is very similar to a Jet’s system architecture and operation.

Course Duration and Structure

We offer a three day intensive course for those who are current under IFR.   The course covers aircraft systems, aircraft general handling, operation of the aircraft under normal conditions and operation under abnormal and emergency situations.

Course Prices

This course assumes that you have already passed the ATP knowledge test and meet the appropriate aeronautical experience requirements of 14CFR Part 61.

Please note that we train to proficiency and as a consequence it may be possible that the training required will exceed the totals above. In which case, we will bill at the appropriate Angel City Flyers rates for any excess training.

Practical Test Fee approx. $500

The aircraft for the practical test is included in the package price.
