Multi Engine Hour Building (Diamond Twin Star)

Multi engine time is much sought after for proficiency reasons, insurance reasons and career progression.   Traditionally, new multi engine aircraft with glass panel technology have proven to be expensive for those wishing to build flight time.   Angel City Flyers now has a program which allows access to a new multi engine aircraft with instructor from $230 dollars an hour.

Price (excluding fuel with a multi engine, instrument instructor)

The main conditions associated with these highly discounted rates are :

• All flights are with an Angel City Flyers Instructor (included in price)
• All flights are carried out under Instrument Flight Rules
• The longest flight leg without landing is not to exceed 60nm
• No touch and goes
• At the end of each scheduled block, the aircraft returns to KLGB
• The maximum scheduled aircraft block reservation is 8 hours per day
• Scheduled blocks begin at either 0630local or 1430local

If you wish to get a multi engine rating or instrument rating while building your flight time, this can be arranged at an additional cost (currently an additional $1000 for a multi engine rating and an additional $2500 for an instrument rating).

*The detailed savings are based on a regular dual wet rate of $375 per hobbs hour, a fuel price of $4 per gallon, aircraft at a 65% cruise power setting on 50 mile IFR cross country.
